Chalet Rhaetia was built in 2003 in wood in the traditional style as a family holiday home for the owner, not a commercial let. It is therefore equipped to a much higher standard than ordinary self-catering accommodation.
It has been awarded a “Four Star Luxury” rating by the local Tourist Board.
It can accommodate 8 to 10 people, and everything about it has been finished to the highest specification. From the large and highly equipped kitchen to luxury furnishings and Swiss antiques. Modern bathrooms and showers, even a private sauna!
It is just a few minutes’ walk from a bubble car to a large ski area with T bars and chairlifts, a ski hire shop and ski school, as well as a food shop and many restaurants.
Vast meadows and pine forests turn bright green quickly and the meadows fill with flowers. Spectacular waterfalls cascade with snow and ice meltwater.
Walking in meadows carpeted with wild flowers. Walk for the day and take a picnic to have in the outdoors. Mountains are unfenced and accessible by law Hot days by a lake and enjoy a swim. Pools with waterslides and other activities for kids in Klosters and Davos. Swiss village summer festivals.
Autumn blaze of orange and red. Walking and trekking, often still with weeks of bright sunshine. Cows brought down from mountain pastures with accompanying festivities. Local shoots welcoming visitors.
Skiing. Some of the best skiing in the world. Vast areas, often open by mid-November. Ice hockey rink in Davos, skating and curling in Klosters and Davos. Winter walks in the forests. Mountains even for non-skiers with cable car. Swimming outdoors in a heated pool with snow piled high on each side!

We rented Chalet Rhaetia for our family vacation in early July. Communication with the host as well as their agent in Klosters, Mitzi, was terrific. The chalet was wonderfully comfortable for our group of seven adults. There are a total of 4 official bedrooms (3 doubles on the top floor, one small room on the main floor with a single) and, additionally, the basement has a sitting room with pullout couch and full bathroom. The chalet was well maintained and tastefully decorated and fully stocked with regards to dining supplies, cooking supplies etc. The location of the chalet is terrific! A 5min walk to the Klosters train station, and a 1 min walk to the local bus stop. We did not rent a car and did not feel we needed one during our stay - public transportation was very easy to navigate and the summer guest cards allowed us to use the local bus for free, as well as free train travel to Davos, plus reduced rates on mountain gondolas. There are a plethora of hiking opportunities in and around Klosters for all ages and abilities. It is truly a beautiful area.

Excellent chalet that had everything you would want in a self catering property. Ideally located by a bus stop making easy access to the ski lifts. Rooms were all clean, spacious and comfortable. Local agent was very responsive and helpful. All the ingredients for a good family skiing holiday.
