Naunton is easily accessible from the Cotswold towns of Stow-on-the Wold (5 miles away)or Bourton on-the-Water (3 miles away. It's about 90 minutes' drive from London, 45 minutes to Oxford. Tewksbury Abbey, Cheltenham, Gloucester and Stratford are all less than an hour away. Naunton is on its own loop road, itself off a country road B road, so there is almost no passing traffic. There is only one long road through the middle of the village, the cottage set back via a long garden. There are no parking restrictions apart from not blocking drives. It is usually possible to park within 50 metres of the cottage.

Naunton lies off the B4068, a road from Stow-on the-Wold to Andersford where it joins the A 436. Stow is well signposted in the Cotswolds. If arriving in Stow from the south (Burford), the B4036 is the first road on the left from as you approach Stow on the A424. It is marked for “Lower Swell”, a village that the B4068 passes through on its way to Naunton.
The right turn for Naunton is on the right just over 5 miles from Stow, and signposted. Before then you will pass a crossroads with a sign for Bourton-on-the-Water to the left and a sign for The Cotswold Farm Park (“Adams Farm”) on the right. You will then pass a turning for the Cotswold Quarry. Continue in the B4068 until you see the Naunton sign at the bottom of the valley.
If approaching from Cheltenham or Gloucester, take the A40, then theA436, and take the left fork onto the B4068 about 2 miles after Andoversford. The turnoff to Naunton is on your left, down a hill. If you miss this turnoff, there is the second turnoff around a mile further along, also to the left.
Note that Naunton lies in “hidden valley” along basically a single road which forms a loop off the B4068. So turnoffs to Naunton are at either end of the village from the B4068.
The village is about three quarters of a mile long. Sunny Cottages is a terrace of cottages close to The Black Horse Inn. It is 50 yards to the north of the pub. Parking is along the road along the other side of the road from the houses. You may have to park a few houses along, but there is usually a space pretty close. Don’t park in anyone’s driveway – the residents will get justifiably upset if you do, and do fold in your wing mirrors as the road is quite narrow.
The entrance to the cottage is along a path to one side of a lawned area. Don’t cross the lawn as it belongs to a different house, and stick to the path with a cottage wall on your right. You will then come to a low wrought iron gate. Go through that and the path leads to two cottages, Nos 2 and 3. No 3 is on the left, and the keysafe is to the left of the front door, below the post box.
