A stunning Languedoc Village 1860s Stone Vigneron House with Private Pool. 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, large heated private pool, yet in the middle of a village
The House of Dreams! All the bedrooms are large, one double, the rest can all be double or twin. 3 have private bathrooms, one has a shower. Traditional French high ceilings keep it cool and airy. A huge private pool in a garden full of local character. The garden is not actively overlooked, so naturist sunbathing and swimming is fine. But, unusually, in the heart of a historic village, not the edge. Just 2 minutes walk to a food shop/boulangerie, café, restaurant and bar. A traditional “circulade” village full of glorious architecture. Highest level of equipment provided from experience as to the needs of holidaymakers looking for extra comfort.
By the beginning of April, temperatures are climbing to 20C. the days are longer, and far more average sunshine than the UK. Blossom is everywhere, the countryside is great for walking, the medieval towns and villages for exploring. The National Parks have great walking and trekking. No one is on the long beaches. It’s a real break after the northern winter to be out and about.
There are four types of swimming on offer! The pool, beaches 30 minutes away, a lake 20 minutes away and a safe river swimming area 15 minutes away. Sailing, windsurfing, rafting, canyoning. Village festivals every weekend from dancing to music. Wine to pottery. Lazy lunches, magical markets, medieval castles and vineyards to explore. National parks with spectacular views, trekking and hiking.
The days are still bright, long and temperatures in the high 20s. Wine harvest festivals. Long walks. All the tourist activities still available. A real log fire if the evenings get cooler, and the house has full heating anyway, although probably not needed! Glorious sunrises and sunsets.
Cold but sunny crisp days. Still great for exploring cities, the countryside or even the beach for walks. Snow-capped mountains in the distance. A great break from cloudy Britain!
***** 'The location was fantastic, the village is lively with the shops you need and bars / restaurants. The house is lovely, large and airy, and the back garden with the pool is completely private and a place you want to spend time. Getting around the area is easy with the network of small roads in such good condition and only light traffic. There is plenty to discover, you do need to drive into the villages, as on the outskirts they can appear dead. Only when you get to the centre do you see what is really there. important to keep an eye out for local signs of events, they seem to appear daily. Definitely worth attending. We'd come back in a heartbeat.'
'The property is huge, very peaceful. The kitchen has got a lot of utensils and crockery. Bathrooms are big, clean and modern (water pressure could be better though). The location is great, a few minutes walk to local amenities (bakery, supermarket, restaurants). we really enjoyed our stay there and would gladly come back. The heated pool was appreciated. The barbecue is great.'
'We had a wonderful stay at Mark's house in Ginestas. The house is beautiful, with original features, very clean and it has a great pool that the whole family enjoyed. Ginestas itself is a lovely, typically French village with a range of facilities and not far from the coast and larger towns. We would definitely recommend staying here.'
